As I sit here, miles away. Thinking of all of you and my many fond memory's with George. Which I first met many years ago while I was visiting for the first time, my lovely wife Susan's family. Very easily George left a very big impression on me. This was one of the most kindest gentle souls I have ever had the honor and pleasure of meeting. He also was a good teacher. He showed me to try more to enjoy life's little things. His contentment with sitting for hours looking over the bay, watching Adam with his animals, tapping out a tune on the arms of his rocking chair or just going for a walk. Just some of the simple things in life we all miss some times. For this...I truly thank you for George. I will continue to try and master it as you have. He will indeed truly and greatly be mist. Also thinking of my wife and family in Newfoundland. I'm sadden with you in the tremendous loss of George, but thankfully knowing your together to help each other though saying goodbye to George helps me a little. ...and I thank you for that! I will be thinking of you all tomorrow. Please, say a goodbye for me. Love you all. Please take care.

I have so many memories of this man, he has always been a big part of our lives growing up. He visited us so much, I assume because of his friendship with my sister Louise. He always held your arm when speaking with you, such a gentle sweet soul.
About 17 years ago I decided to move back home to St. Alban'e for the summer for some family time and fun. That summer I became Georgie's chauffeur, no matter when he wanted a ride he new he could count on me. Our process was always the same. I would say, you need a ride George and he would say yes please. We would walk to my little red Honda Civic and he would drum the length of my car before he got in and we would laugh and laugh!!
RIP Georgie Drew, give my beautiful sister a big kiss for me.

Georgie was a dear friend when I lived in St. Allan's in the mid-seventies. He always had a smile to share and brought a lot of joy with his music. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Sincerely, Liz and Dan Collier
