It is with great sadness that the family of the late William “Bill” Byrne announce his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton, NL on Friday July 14, 2023 at the age of 77. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his Wife: Effie; Children: Bill (Tina), CBS, NL, Carol (Eugene Hedd), St. John’s, NL, Barry (Gabby), Tara, ON & Colin (Shannon), Whitbourne, NL; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers: Charlie, Patrick, Edward, Joseph, Thomas, Francis & John; sisters: Gertie & Laura; parents: Patrick & Mary Ellen. Funeral service on Thursday July 20, 2023 at 11am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church St. Alban’s, with Father Patrick Ousji officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s. The family would like to thank special friends Murdock & Loretta Milley for their care and support as well as the staff at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton. Your kindness will always be remembered. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bay d’Espoir Cancer Benefit Fund.
