Morg and I were living in Halifax in the mid seventies and working on a fishing dragger out of a small town about four or five hours away. On one trip the sailing was delayed until the next day for some reason so we decided to check out the town. It was getting dark and a black thick of fog as we walked from the dock to the town centre where there's a phone booth. we're just standing around and the phone starts ringing. We look at each other and at the phone booth and after quite a few rings I answer it. A female voice asked " Is Morg there? "

Morg was a wonderful family friend to all of our family. He was always so happy-go-lucky and loved to see people visit. He was friendly, very respectful and genuinely appreciative whenever you did something for him. We are certainly going to miss our visits with you my friend.

Your favourite singer was John Prine. So is mine, and I got that love from you & Pat playing John Prine on the ghetto blaster playing in the shed, and plugged into mom’s house.
Johnny remembers hearing CCR on a ghetto blaster as well when he was very young.
And boy, do you ever look like him in this picture.
Thanks Ann for the picture.
I will keep playing my John Prine songs for you, to keep your memory alive.
Have a good rest, you fought a courageous battle at the end.
Love you! RIP.
