It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mercedes Snook announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Thursday September 18, 2014 at the age of 94. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Annie May (Garfield Walters), Isle Au Morte, NL, John (Mary), Isle Au Morte, NL, Stella Hodder, St. Bernard's, NL, Lawrence (Carrie), Isle Au Morte, NL, Michael (Minnie), St. Alban's, NL, Wayne (Lydia), St. Alban's, NL, Chrissie (Chris Willcott), St. Alban's, NL, Glynn, Vancouver, BC & Glenda Snook, St. Alban's, NL; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandson; 3 great great grandchildren; brother: Reginald Farrell, St. Alban's, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Hubert; grandchildren: Tammy Snook, Albert Hodder & Joelle Hodder-Myles; brothers & sisters; son in law Albert Hodder Jr. The funeral service was held on Monday September 22, 2014 at 10 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church St. Alban's, with Father David Quaning officiating. Interment followed at the R. C. Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
