It is with great Sadness that Maxie has passed on. He was such an amazing person in his employment and generally over the 18 years with the Burton family and their Lodges in Labrador, as our cook. He was such a great friend of all out guests. There will be memories of Max forever. Two pools were named after him at Igloo Lake and Flowers River and they will never be changed. There were so many glorious things that we experienced with him over the years.I will always miss him forever. He was an outstanding man and a very close friend of mine/ GOD BLESS HIM.He will now be in heaven with Dorothy. RIP, my dear friend. Condolences and Sympathy to you Sherrie and all your family from the Burton family. Vince Burton

Sherrie & Family The Burton Family sends our sincere condolences to you & all your lovely family. We have so many fond memories of your Dad “Max” - he was a lovely gentleman, Max always had a smile & a great sense of humour . He was a dedicated employee who gave it 110% every day. We'll never forget Max’s kindness, one day he allowed (with his supervision) a little 8 year old girl to cook pancakes in the Igloo Lake Lodge kitchen, with the little girl wearing Max's cooking hat. On Sept 11, 2001 - I was with your Dad in Northern Labrador - I'll never forget our chats. He made such an impression on others that Flowers River Lodge named one of the most successful Salmon Pools at Flowers River, Labrador after Max, "Max's Pool" - your Dad, a compassionate man who was always kind and thoughtful - will never be forgotten. God Bless you all. With sincere sympathy, The Burton Family
